This place is so magical! We had such a great time and felt right at home. The pizza oven was amazing for wood fired pizza and the fireplace at night to see the stars. This property is absolutely gorgeous and really peaceful. Thanks for having us and looking forward to being back here soon.

One of the most gorgeous homes we have ever stayed in. Our children had so much fun playing in the enormous grounds with lots of great places to explore like the big swing. The house itself was beautifully decorated, beds super cosy and the sunroom was a delightful place to read and admire the view.
Laslo and Amanda’s place is beautiful with amazing mountain views… peaceful and stunning surrounds. The house and property are great. We had initially planned a winter getaway, with the hopes for fireplace and fire pit but the weather had other ideas! It was unexpectedly a very hot weekend - and we were very grateful for the effective air con!! We’d love to come back and spend more time in the gardens, exploring the local area and enjoying the fireplace/fire pit. A stunning part of the world.
We stayed here for a couple of weeks because we’re working in the area. It was honestly one of the most beautiful places we ever stayed. The hosts were very helpful and gave us plenty of recommendations for us to do or go in the area. I would love to come back and stay here again, but then just to relax and enjoy myself instead of working 😉. 10/10!
From the minute we arrived at Mountain View estate we relaxed and fell in love with the gardens and scenery. Laslo was there to greet us and gave us some helpful tips, making us feel like we were visiting friends straight away rather than total strangers. The bird life was amazing and different spots to enjoy a coffee or alcoholic beverage with a cheese platter was memorable. Thank you for sharing this lovely slice of country paradise!

Thank you Laslo and Amanda, our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The fresh air, the open grounds to walk (or run around) were perfect. The kids really enjoyed being out in nature and taking photos and videos of the cows next door and the Kangaroo family that kept hopping in to say hello. The surrounding area offered us treks, climbs, dams, many delicious cafes, mountain views and the camel riding place (which was a first for the kids), we loved it! The house was awesome and so many comforts! My favourite part was just sitting on the veranda watching the sunsets and storms rolling by.

This was a great little gem of a place to stay for our weekend hiking in the area. The hosts are very accommodating and the house yard is fenced well. The neighbours' cows are cute too! Bring some carrots from Aratula Markets with you.
Mountview was a beautiful home in the Scenic Rim with some amazing scenery around it. Our hosts were very responsive to all our needs. We tried the pizza oven out and Amanda guided me through how to use it via messages on top of the instructions already provided. It felt like we were no trouble at all to ask things. The outdoor entertainment area next to the pizza oven was used a lot and in an amazing rustic surround. There are some recliner chairs at the top of the property that our group used to watch the sunset colours from. We also were provided with carrots to feed the very friendly cows. Somehow I suspect they knew we were going to feed them as they were all lined up at the fence in the afternoon looking at us. The house is spacious and delightful to look at. There were 3 couples in our group and even though there was only one bathroom and toilet between all of us it was never an issue. A wonderful mini-stay over the weekend in the Scenic Rim!
Amazing location for a weekend away, such a tranquil area! We had booked this location for a wedding in the area and it was perfect the place was perfect for getting ready and travelling between the reception and ceremony sites. We will definitely be coming back at some point to enjoy the area again, perfect place to sit and unwind. Laslo and Amanda were fantastic hosts and made sure everything was spot on for the weekend.

Laslo and Amanda's place is in a great location, close to Brisbane but also a good jumping off point for Scenic Rim adventures. The house has a lot of extra touches which made us feel at home and was really fun for our family to play outside, roast marshmallows or cosy up inside for games or a movie. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean.
Amanda was excellent with her communication, recommendations, and helpful tips. She went above and beyond to make us feel warm and welcome. It was a dream stay. Stunning house surrounded by natural beauty.
It was the grounds and location that made this place for us, such a wonderful area to explore and so thoughtfully set out for kids and oldies. We had such a lovely time at Las and Amanda's place. It's a very unique and genuine farm stay experience. The property is surrounded by beautiful mountains and peaceful farms. The house itself is very charming and full of character. Las and Amanda are very helpful and friendly. We arrived a bit early for the check-in and were welcomed very warmly by them on the property. They are very generous and left lots of goodies in the fridge. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds and beautiful linens. We had lovely encounters with neighbour cows and wild kangaroos. My 8 months daughter has enjoyed it so much. It's definitely a great choice for a peaceful family trip. Thanks Las and Amanda!!!

WOW. WOW. WOW!!!!!! This place is amazing!!!! We were searching for a place to explore the Scenic Rim and Amanda and Laslo’s charming property did not disappoint! From the moment I contacted them to book their house I knew it was going to be amazing. As hosts they ALWAYS responded very quickly. And the handbook they have created with recommendations around the area is next level. Like really next level. I don’t think we will ever find a host like these guys again!!! Now let’s talk about the property. Apart from being beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable the extra items that Amanda and Laslo provided made our holiday feel like home. We had the entire Scenic Rim to explore but to be honest one of my favourite parts was sitting in the chairs at the top of property in the afternoons sipping a wine and watching the sunset amongst the mountains. Definitely definitely definitely recommend this property!!! Thanks guys. Will definitely be back 😊

This property is a perfect escape from the city! It is so well thought out. Every detail has been considered for an easy home away from home. The property is maintained so well with attention to detail in the gardens and yard. There are toys and board games for all ages. A separate dining area right beside the pizza oven and BBQ. The fire pit was used even in November, when the sun dropped it was cool enough. Things like internet and TV with subscriptions were so handy with young kids. Being able to pop on a movie was a big thing to get the kids calm before bed. Amanda and Laslo have put together a very thorough suggestion book which I highly recommend you use when planning your days. They have personally researched and added in the names of local business owners to give that extra service when visiting. Little surprises were so thoughtful and appreciated. We only stayed 2 nights but we would have preferred a week! Highly recommend for a couple of families as the different areas of the house and property allow for plenty of breakout areas and you’re not on top of one another. This was a booking you won’t regret!

We loved Mountview Place. We are a family of 5 and 2 pups. Amanda and Laslo’s place is spotlessly clean, spacious and very lovingly and artistically decorated! I really enjoyed all the art pieces! There is a front veranda where you can pen up dogs safely if you want to go into town for a bit and ample space to wear out a border collie. The kitchen is very well stocked. The views are magnificent and you are just surrounded by peace and quiet and beautiful trees and birds. Our kids really enjoyed the toys and the little carts- they rolled down the driveway all weekend. We also tried the pizza oven and ate in the outdoor pavilion- great fun! Highly recommended! Can't wait to return!!! This place is amazing!! We absolutely loved our stay, and what made it even better was being able to take our fur babies (2 dogs) with us. Amanda & Laslo have thought of everything! Such a gorgeous peaceful place to hang out and so beautifully decorated, we didn't want to leave. Every day we went out for a little drive and checked out the area. We visited Lake Moogerah, the Scenic Rim Brewery (which had absolutely delicious food!), the Scenic Rim Farm Shop (gorgeous café and a nice area for kids to run around), we popped in and did some wine tasting with Dave at Bunjergen Winery. So many things not too far away. Our favourite thing was enjoying the fire pit. The kids were so excited with the little surprise that Amanda & Laslo left them! My husband and I enjoyed the lovely bottle of bubbly and chocolate! Laslo and Amanda were so helpful with information and got back to us really quickly. We will definitely return!

One of the best places we have ever stayed! The hosts are amazing, and have thought of everything even down to the s’mores for the outdoor fire pit! As we were celebrating a milestone birthday, they gifted us a bottle of bubbly! Their communication was great and they were so helpful with recommendations of where to visit on the Scenic Rim. The house itself is beautiful, clean and in an idyllic spot, with fantastic views all around. We were so comfortable and content throughout the stay and didn’t want to leave. I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning!

A beautiful peaceful location. It's great for kids and families. There's plenty there for everyone to enjoy and do. Our puppy too enjoyed the wide open space to run, play and explore. Perfect to unwind and relax.

Wow. We recently stayed at Mountain View Farmstead for a long weekend. Being from the country ourselves a few years back and then moving to the city we were really looking forward to our stay and it brought us back fond memories of the place we still call home. From the minute we arrived there, we were just overwhelmed by the beauty of the property, the ambience of the countryside and the warm homely feel of the house. Having lived in weatherboard homes for the past 25 or so years both in Brisbane and in NSW Country and having lived on large rural blocks with tank water and septic systems, we just felt at home straight away. The house was well equipped and full of character and charm. Every little detail was thought of from pantry items to toiletries and special treats in the fridge. The log fire was just wonderful and the sunroom so delightful, it would have been easy to spend the whole weekend there reading a book. Being a family of 5—uh make that 6 with our puppy—there was plenty of room both to be together or to have our own quiet space on our own. It was so good to be able to have our little pup with us and he just enjoyed sitting on the verandah and looking out (as we did too!). The wide open acreage was lovely to walk around with the beautiful gardens and so good to grab some fresh herbs from the veggie garden and cook straight away with them. The BBQ area was full of character and so well equipped and our only regret was not having enough time to fire up the pizza oven. Sitting around the campfire as the sun went down was an amazing experience and the views in every direction were breathtakingly beautiful at any time of day and night. The peace and serenity was healing for us after a busy start to the year and walks along the quiet country roads in the evening were just amazing. The surrounding townships like Kalbar were close and accessible and a great local area to explore. Now the property as a whole was simply fantastic and exceeded our expectations and perhaps being used to living on acreage previously it was even more special to us. We have to say, however, that the thing that made the stay so special for us were the wonderful hosts—Laslo and Amanda. From the minute we first enquired about the property they were so helpful, so obliging and so friendly, professional and courteous to us. Their prompt and clear communication made everything flow so smoothly and nothing was a bother to them. They thought of every detail that guests would need to know (including how to lift the farm gate up to open it) which not all people would know to do. Thank you Laslo and Amanda for sharing your piece of heaven on earth with us. It was probably the best place we have stayed at as a family and a good sign was, not only did we all not want to go home on the last day, our children actually asked us to sell up and move to the country!! We look forward to our next relaxing stay there...

Beautiful property - the grounds were much bigger than we realised before arriving and my 2 kids loved running around and playing with the trucks that had been left. While we didn't end up using the pizza oven or outdoor dining space due to rain, that was very impressive as well. Overall it was a lovely getaway and we'd definitely recommend this place to others! Laslo and Amanda were great hosts.

Refreshing and relaxing! The weather wasn't the best but it didn't matter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountview, and the hospitality extended to us by Laslo & Amanda. Gracious hosts, they were able to promptly assist us with suggestions and advice when needed. The home is in excellent condition (love the floorboards!) and very comfortable so we could just enjoy our time no matter whether it was raining or windy, and when the sun was out we appreciated the views even more! Local produce was tasty and welcomed - Kalbar is a great little place to source provisions from with very helpful locals. The Royal Hotel there was our choice for eating out - it's been established for a while (a century or so!) and though it's a country pub, the owners, staff and locals are very welcoming (the food is great too!). We definitely plan to return!
Wow what a piece of heaven Laslo & Amanda and family have. It was so comfortable and the kids and my partner & I enjoyed our stay and the peace, quiet, and views out there. The pizza oven was a bonus, and the kids had plenty to do. Such a beautiful house and we would highly recommend and would love to stay again. The views are amazing!!
