Life at Mountview
The best days
can happen right here.
The farmhouse is just the beginning. Gardens, creek, country neighbours and evenings outside are all part of your time at Mountview.

The gardens
A wander without
much of an agenda.
Follow the garden paths past native planting, roses and the vegetable patch. Find a seat in the shade or a place to enjoy a cuppa with the mountain views.
There’s space to spend time together, and quieter corners when you’d like a moment to yourself.

The creek
A little time by the creek.
There’s more to your country stay than the view from the verandah. Make time to discover the creek, too. Your hosts can help with access and current conditions so you can plan your visit.
Keep children supervised around water and follow your hosts’ guidance.

Cows & country neighbours
A different kind
of neighbour.
The surrounding farmland is part of Mountview’s character. Watch the cows across the fence and enjoy the everyday rhythms of country life.
Please stay on the property, respect the neighbouring farms and ask the hosts before feeding any animals.
Wildlife
A visitor on
the lawn.
Kangaroos sometimes move through the grounds, and birds make themselves at home in the gardens. Wildlife comes and goes in its own time; watching quietly is part of the pleasure.
It’s a lovely chance for children and grown-ups alike to notice what’s around them.

Evenings together
Stay out for
one more story.
As the afternoon turns to evening, make your way to the rustic entertaining area. Prepare a pizza in the wood-fired oven, sit down together and enjoy a meal with the country air around you.
On suitable nights, the fire pit gives everyone a place to gather beneath the stars.
Use the pizza oven and fires in line with the house manual and host guidance. Observe fire bans and extinguish the fire pit before bed.
